SICKNESS PEOPLE ARE LIKELY TO HAVE THIS LOCKDOWN
Bipolar disorder, also called manic-depressive illness or manic depression, is a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression). It typically consists of manic and depressive episodes separated by periods of normal mood. Sometimes they feel very happy and “up,” and are far more energetic and active than usual. This is called a manic episode. Sometimes people with manic depression feel very sad and “down,” have low energy are much less active. This is called depression or a depressive episode. People who have panic attacks but don't experience depressive episodes also are classified as having manic depression.
Bipolar disorder isn't an equivalent because of the normal ups and downs everyone goes through. The mood swings are more extreme than that and are amid changes in sleep, energy state, and therefore the ability to think clearly. While most of the people will experience some emotional symptoms between episodes, some might not experience any. Bipolar symptoms are so strong that they will damage relationships and make it hard to travel to high school or keep employment. They can also be dangerous. Some people with manic depression attempt to hurt themselves or attempt suicide. Although bipolar disorder is a lifelong condition, you can manage your mood swings and other symptoms by following a treatment plan. PREVALENCE
Bipolar disorder is the sixth leading cause of disability worldwide and has a lifetime prevalence of about 1 to 3 percent in the general population. It affects about 60 million people worldwide. The incidence of manic depression is analogous in men and ladies also as across different cultures and ethnic groups. Late adolescence and early adulthood are peak years for the onset of manic depression.
